In order to answer the question as to when work should stop in the event of continuous rainfall in the mine, it would be preferable to observe from a full operating cycle instead of looking at static photographs. In the case of a continuing increase in the water content of the inner-floor backbone of the suspension window, loading, driving, steering, stopping or lifting would change the stress, and previously qualified endurance might decline rapidly, often only in an action. Multiple opinions can test the setting of conditions for the triggering of rainfall, deposition and water accumulation, and it is up to the person in charge of the site to decide whether the suspension is truly enforceable outside paper.
The safety floor does not change due to the tight working schedule. In the event of an unknown foundation, posturing of equipment in excess of the Manual, damage to components or failure to isolate persons, operations should be suspended and approvals upgraded. Any improvement in pre-qualified endurances that may be rapidly declining must be identified without introducing new slide, bias, trip or maintenance risks.
