How do we verify the effect of unloading after replacing the slabs?

Abstract of article:An analysis of the reasons why a smooth discharge does not represent the overall performance of the project and gives selection, installation, inspection and procurement recommendations by material, weather, load and successive recording of lifting times.

In the event of a test run after the new liner has been put into operation, many teams will ask first how thick the plates are needed; however, the key to the validation of the discharge effects after replacing the slab is to first confirm the failed boundary. If a smooth discharge does not represent a significant increase in the overall condition after rainfall, full load or continuous operation, the state shall be used as a design condition and shall not be replaced by clear or empty data.

The selection can be conducted in three steps: the first step is to verify the material type, water content rate, particle size, temperature, load, car angle and current residue rate; the second step does not translate a smooth discharge into a full-scale, friction, impact or grinding demand; and the third step is to implement a continuous comparison of material, weather, load and lifting time. The request for quotation documents should indicate the frequency, life expectancy and maintenance of the slabs. The increase in thickness usually also increases weight and handling difficulties and therefore cannot automatically be equated with “more suitable”.

Test-runs after the new liner is in use

Prior to implementation, a pre-operational meeting may be arranged to clarify who will confirm the basis, who will accept the slabs and who will have the right to cease operations. The low friction liner is to be used with the correct lifting and cleaning system. The site is positioned according to numbering and drawings, and every section completed checks size, edge, connection or rigidity, without leaving all questions to the end. The rhythm should be lowered during the trial period to observe that a smooth discharge does not represent a re-emergence of the overall performance.

The site inspection should not simply be “normal”. Queries should be selected for suture attachments, sudden slips, overloading and lifting anomalies, and the anomalies should be classified into three levels: observation, restriction and decommissioning. In the event that the repeated successful unloading of materials in the same area does not represent a full-scale performance, a complete construction order should be created. The removed plates or pads are cleaned, dry, flat and stored in salaried areas.

In order to validate the programme, a representative route, a vehicle or a support point could be selected for a controlled trial, with observation cycles and exit conditions. The records should cover normal and most unfavourable work, with particular attention to the fact that a smooth discharge does not represent full performance. Only when the test data are stable, the maintenance workload is acceptable and confirmed by project management and security personnel will it be appropriate to expand the application.

The safety floor does not change due to the tight working schedule. In the event of an unknown foundation, posturing of equipment in excess of the Manual, damage to components or failure to isolate persons, operations should be suspended and approvals upgraded. Any improvement in the performance of a smooth discharge does not represent a full-scale performance, but must be confirmed without introducing a new risk of slide, overload, trip or maintenance.
