When discussing how temporary access to quarries will cross the drain, the objectives should be first identified: whether to restore temporary access, maintain equipment stability, improve the integrity of discharges or extend the life of the vehicle. The intersection between vehicle routes and open trenches often includes multiple targets, while the mere emptiness of the plate creates a curved and unstable link that is usually the first to be exposed. Quantifying the problem would avoid the use of temporary products as a panacea.
Prior to the design of the programme, it is recommended that the equipment be collected in terms of exterior, routing, local pressure, mode of diversion, debris particles and frequency of operations. When communicating with suppliers, photographs, size charts and the most unfavourable work conditions should be provided, rather than giving only one “mass tonnage”. A more appropriate control action for the subject is the use of an accountable duct or bridge structure, with the paving of the board only as surface protection. The material number, the size of the finished product, the thickness difference, the surface texture, the connection or fixation, the working temperature, and the test conditions for the data are also to be confirmed when the pavement board is involved. The usual specifications of 15, 20, 25 or 30 mm can only serve as the starting point for the request for quotations and cannot directly substitute for the engineering judgement.

During the construction or installation phase, the area of operation is first sealed, and the point-loading of sharp stones, hard blocks and miscellaneous items are cleared, then laid or fixed in the order approved. Separate passage routes from loading and unloading, fragmentation and personnel areas. Where a collage is required, the connection should be directed in the direction of the main drive or material flow, and the conditions of condensation and overhaul required by the manufacturer should be retained; no random drilling, cutting or stacking should be made on site to compensate for the lack of choice.
For high-utilization mining areas, sharp stones, stone powder, connectors and reverse areas can be included in the mobile end-line list and location photographs are required. The system should automatically raise the level of inspection if it continues to capture the lumbers and instability of the plate alone. Replacements in the inventory are also periodically counted in size and state to avoid any lack of matching, shortage of connectors or storage of deformations during emergency maintenance.
Receiving and inspection information shall keep the product batch, installation chart, site photographs, initial dimensions and trial running records. In the event of a future lumbering and instability arising from the emptiness of the plate alone, it can be judged whether the anomaly arises from initial installation, change of condition or natural wear. For reusable pavements or leg pads, this set of records will also facilitate the rapid matching of suitable locations for the next transfer.
Finally, this paper provides a selection and management approach, with no alternatives to equipment specifications, special programmes, geological evaluations and local regulations. Work involving lifting support, ramps, ditches, vehicle lifts or personnel entering the carriage shall be reviewed and quarantine, locking and emergency procedures carried out by suitably qualified personnel.
