The choice between 20GP and 40HQ cannot depend solely on who has more internal space. Engineering plastic sheeting is of a high density, and orders may first reach the gross mass allowed for containers rather than full volume. 20GP cabinets are short, suitable for orders with a concentration of weight and a smaller inventory demand; 40HQ is large and suitable for a lighter or more packaged combination, provided that the weight of the shipping company, the road and the port of destination is checked.
The supplier shall calculate the filling on the basis of the size, weight, quantity per bundle, pallet or unattended package. Long-sized plates are also restricted by the operation of cabinet doors, internal lengths and forklifts and cannot be separated by aggregate accumulation. These packagings also take up space and increase gross weight if the product requires pallets, wood squares, horns and straps. The container chart shall show the direction of each bundle and the order of discharge.

The purchaser will have to compare the share of sea, port of destination and inland transport per piece. Some routes 40HQ are only slightly higher than 20GP by sea, but destination trailers, restricted weights or storage costs may vary. If 40HQ needs to be dismantled into two pick-ups or to use a larger forklift, the single-cargo savings do not necessarily translate into a real advantage.
Stock and sales are equally important. The distributor could build a multi-specified stock at 40HQ, but control the slow motion model; if a single project required only a 20GP quantity, an additional purchase to 40HQ could occupy funds and premises. Combination increases product cover, but increases production scheduling and pick-up complexity, requiring a lock-in list prior to the next list.
The request for quotations provides the destination port, allows the gross weight, local trailer restrictions, warehouse discharge equipment and target product combinations. Vendors are required to simulate 20GP and 40HQ at the same time, with quantities, gross weight, packaging, spare space and projected freight caliber. The choice should be based on the total cost of landing and the actual capacity to receive it, rather than defaulting that the large cabinet must be less expensive.
