The size of the leg cushion was not the only control condition when the pump was operating near the base pit. The mass load of the legs spreads down and out through the earth, and if it is too close, it may increase the receptivity of the pit wall, support or sink. The safe retreat distance shall be determined by the project ' s capable personnel according to the depth of the base pit, the soil, the form of support, the groundwater and the maximum reversibility of the leg. “By-size” can not be inferred to be close to the edge, nor can ordinary pavements be used as a basis for crossing a soft shoulder.
The pumping vehicle shall be positioned on a plan with the vehicle, the full stretch of the leg, the arms frame, the concrete tank route and the hose operating area. Priority is given to placing legs in solid, flat and well-drained areas and avoiding backfilling tanks, wells and underground pipes. If the site is narrow, the pumping vehicle will need to be reoriented, scalded or delivered, rather than sacrificing the leg. The leg pads are selected by maximum reaction and ground-based pressure allowed, and the foot of the leg is lying in the whole mat.

There shall be no temporary levelling under the mats with loose material, nor shall there be mud, ice or round stones between the layers. The vehicle was evened as required by the manufacturer and all required legs were fully installed before the arm racks were extended. The concrete mixer will not be able to press over and over again by the legs or drain the wash water to the edge of the base pit, and the pull and personnel work of the pump hoses will be separated from the legs to avoid collisions with links and mats.
Pumps should be continuously monitored for leg deposition, tilting of pads, cracks at pitside, changes in support and state of equipment level. When the arm frame turns to different areas, the retroactivity of the leg is redistributed and cannot be examined only once at the start of the pump. Additional review is required after rainfall, long-term pumping or close digging; in the event of deposition, cracks or anomalous sound, the operation is stopped in accordance with the equipment and on-site procedures and is not adjusted to be carried under pressure or load.
The request shall be for the pumper type, maximum retroactivity of the leg, foot size of the leg, ground-based permissible pressure, temperature and handling requirements to select the leg cushion. The base pit and safe distance are confirmed by project professionals. Placing equipment, concrete logistics and ground-based stability in the same construction plan would avoid placing legs in unacceptable positions in order to be close to the site.
